Goodness of God

Marriage Covenant/Ketubah

Why did God create us, why did He create you? Because God values us, He values you.

The holy God that created us do not need us but He is selfless, compassionate, and relational. So in being selfless, compassionate, and relational- He created us to have a covenant relationship with Him.

The holy God is a loving and fair God. He wants the best for us. So he not only wants us to have a relationship with Him but with each other and everything that He has created.

The holy God is all knowing and perfect.

So in His perfection, He does not make mistakes. We human beings are not His mistake.

So in His all-knowingness, He already knew before He even created us that the angels and human beings would be ungrateful and stray away or against Him.

The highest angel was ungrateful and went against the Holy God and convinced 1/3 of the angels to go against God too because they idolized themselves and saw themselves as greater than God and possibly coveting the human creation and especially the chosen nation that are to be a nation of priests in the eternal priesthood of Melchezedek.

Eve (Chava in Hebrew) was also ungrateful and went against God when she idolized having the knowledge of God, being all knowing, knowing good and evil. Adam was also ungrateful and went against God too because he failed in keeping focus on worshipping God, the giver of the gift, and instead he worshipped his wife, the gift from God. They trusted what the Deceiver (the serpent, evil) said to them and did not trust what God said to them. This action implies that they believe that the Deceiver is honest and that God is a liar, which is the complete opposite of the truth.

The holy God knew all of this before He even created us so He made a plan, and this plan is HIS, it is not a man’s plan but it is God’s plan, HIS plan of salvation for His possession and His creation.

People ask but why would He create us to fail?

He did not. He is a God of Love. Freedom is a part of Love. He gives us free-will, the freedom to choose to love Him or hate Him. He does not force us to love Him. This is one of the virtues of God that distinguishes Him from man-made religions. Freedom is a product of Love, if there is no freedom, there is no love. Freedom comes only from God. Evil does not possess freedom nor can evil give you freedom. Good choices comes with good consequences and bad choices comes with bad consequences. That does not mean that God wants us to experiences those bad consequences. Since this freedom comes from God, of course He will honor our voluntary choice and its consequences.

We can choose to love Him or we can choose to hate Him.

Think about this for a moment. The holy eternal God made HIS plan of salvation for His possession and His creation a LONG time ago, before He created time, space, and the whole universe. This tells us how important HIS plan of salvation is. This tells us how important we are to Him.

So now we know why He created us and everything else for us- because He is loving and compassionate and wants to have a daily relationship with Him. A relationship is a two-way street. Meaning He is not here to only serve us but we are to serve Him too. He is not here only to hear us talk and ask Him to do things for us, but He is here to also talk to us and He is here to also ask us to do things for Him.

So now we know why He created HIS plan of salvation for His possession and His creation- because He values us and is a gracious and fair God.

He does not want us to be separated from Him while on Earth or in Eternity. He does not want us to be slaves and controlled by evil.

He wants to free us from bondage, so we can be able to think for ourselves and freely choose to worship Him.

When someone is controlled by evil, they don’t have the freedom to worship the Lord. HIS plan of salvation is because He values us and loves us. He wants us to have the freedom to choose to worship Him and fellowship with Him. He does not want us to suffer nor perish/die.

Some may ask- but why would I suffer and perish/die?

Well you know how worldly agreements have laws, statues, and regulations to abide to or else there are penalties? For example, if you sign a contract to rent an apartment, there are instructions like paying rent on the first day of the month or else you will be fined and eventually the farther along that the rent hasn’t been paid, then the tenant can be kicked out and this broken covenant is on your record making it harder to get another apartment agreement. If we steal, we may have to pay a penalty fine or be confined in a prison. If we murder, we could be confined in prison for the rest of our life or have the death sentence.

These worldly laws are meant to protect our rights and maintain order.

If you have been in a country where there are no traffic laws or laws to protect your rights, you may be deeply appreciative of the traffic laws in U.S.A. and the laws that U.S.A. were founded on to preserve the rights of the American people.

As human, we can be morally upright or corrupt. Sometimes even in good intentions can create problems. So the penalty of breaking the worldly laws can be fair and sometimes it can be unfair.

Well God has an eternal covenant for His possession and His creation too. His covenant also has law, statues, and regulations to abide to as well. His covenant also has penalties too if the covenant is breeched.

With God’s eternal laws, they too are to protect our rights and help us to prosper.

But with the holy God, His judgment and penalty are fair and never unfair. We cannot even understand that in fullness because He is so gracious yet so fair, as compared to human beings. Grace is often defined as an undeserved gift or blessing but to be more exact- grace is paying someone the opposite of what is owed to them. You see, God’s fairness is supreme above any level of fairness because He is gracious.

If the covenant is broken, there are penalties. Those penalties are known as “judgment” or “wrath” (there is a difference with God’s wrath and the suffering we cause to ourselves by choosing sinful behaviors) and ultimately a life separated from God on Earth and even worse, to go in eternity completely separated from God. Separation from God is not even life, it is death except the people that are in that position will still feel the agony and want to die in order to escape the agony but they will not be able to.

Perhaps you may be thinking this is so negative. Or perhaps you may be thinking this is unbelievably difficult to prevent.

Remember I said God is so gracious and that He values us? He values you!

He knows that on our own, we cannot earn salvation. So He makes it possible for us through faith in His Son Yeshua-Jesus. It is only through His Son Yeshua-Jesus that we may know the Father, because the fullness of the Father is in Him. And it is only by faith in Yeshua-Jesus, that we may have the Holy Spirit. One God (Adonai echad) presented to us in three persons.

That is why God the Father sent God the Son (Yeshua-Jesus) to be our once and for all sacrifice for our redemption and to offer us a renewed covenant sealed by His living and pure blood, not by the blood of sacrificed animals. In this renewed covenant- He gives us grace. We can have salvation because of what Yeshua-Jesus has done for us as our Passover Lamb. We can have salvation because of what Yeshua-Jesus is doing for us now, as our Eternal High Priest. We can walk in the commandments of God, because He gave us God in the Holy Spirit to indwell in us. Sanctification is a lifetime process and not a one time process. Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) sanctifies us throughout our life time as we wait for Yeshua-Jesus to return. We can trust in this promise because He resurrected and proved that He has power over life and death.

Wow. God’s plan of salvation for His possession and His creation is amazing isn’t it?!

Wait until you read about His Appointed Days (Anniversary page of this website)!

If you are seeking the truth, The Appointed Days will bring you so much joy and fulfillment. It did for me. It helped me to connect scriptures from the Tanach ( Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament) and Brit Chadaschah (Renewed Covenant/New Testament). His Appointed Days are a picture of HIS plan of salvation for Israel and to all nations, those who have faith in Yeshua-Jesus and keeps His commandments.

So what does God require of us? FAITH in God and LOVE God. He sets the standard of faith and love, not us.

Here I share the two important pillars of having faith and loving God.

First pillar, the Eternal 10 Commandments, listed below. Not only by the written letter (physical and material) but by our heart and mind (spiritual). We can read about the spirit of the law and letter of the law in Matthew chapter 5 verses 17 through 48, Matthew chapter 12 verse 7 and 8, and Hosea chapter 6 verse 6 (the Lord is not negating sacrifices, the Lord is emphasizing that our love and repentance should be sincere which happens with a compassionate and merciful heart which makes our sacrifices valuable to be a sacrifice. Today our life is a living sacrifice. Not dead sacrifice. Living sacrifice means that what we think in our mind, what we love in our heart, what we look at with our eyes, what we hear with our ears, the words we speak out of our lips, the actions we do with our body- are all to reflect Who God is and give Him glory). In these Bible verses, we can read how Yeshua-Jesus declared that He did not come to erase the Old Testament (Tanach/Hebrew Scriptures) but that He came to fulfill it and enhanced it. Meaning we are not only to keep the law by the letter (physical and material) but by our heart and mind (spirit). So you can say well that makes it harder to accomplish and you are not wrong to say that. But because the Lord is so good to us, He gives us the Holy Spirit which makes it possible for us to accomplish. This does not mean that right when we become a believer and follower of Yeshua-Jesus that we will instantly follow the commandments perfectly. Sanctification is a lifetime process and not a one day process. We can walk and delight in the ways/commandments of the Lord because He gives us grace through His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection that overcame death, through His ascension to the Father to be our Eternal High Priest interceding for us, and the best gift He gave us- God in the Holy Spirit.

Second pillar, the Fruits of the Holy Spirit (also listed below). We can read in the Bible that without the Fruits of the Holy Spirit, then there is no Law. We can only walk in the ways of the commandments if we have the Holy Spirit and we can only produce His Fruits if we walk with Him daily. We can have the gift of the Holy Spirit only by faith in the real or correct Yeshua-Jesus. I know God can use anyone with His Spirit, but I mean the actual gift and indwelling of the Holy Spirit is given to those who place their faith and trust in Yeshua-Jesus. We can read about this in Galatians chapter 5 verses 22 and 23, and in John chapter 14 verses16 through 30, and Acts chapter 2.

The Eternal Ten Commandments

For all creations as intended in the book of Genesis, not only intended for Israel. Although Israel is supposed to teach the nations about it.

(Exodus 20:2-17 Tree of Life Bible version)

“I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

“You shall have no other gods before Me. Do not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or on the earth below or in the water under the earth. Do not bow down to them, do not let anyone make you serve them. For I, Adonai your God, am a jealous God, bringing the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to the thousands of generations of those who love Me and keep My mitzvot (commandments).

“You must not take the Name of Adonai your God in vain, for Adonai will not hold him guiltless that takes His Name in vain.

“Remember Yom Shabbat (Shabbat Day), to keep it holy. You are to work six days, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Shabbat to Adonai your God. In it you shall not do any work—not you, nor your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, your cattle, nor the outsider that is within your gates. 11 For in six days Adonai made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Thus Adonai blessed Yom Shabbat (Shabbat Day), and made it holy.

12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long upon the land which Adonai your God is giving you.

13 “Do not murder.

14 “Do not commit adultery.

15 “Do not steal.

16 “Do not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17 “Do not covet your neighbor’s house, your neighbor’s wife, his manservant, his maidservant, his ox, his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”

Fruit of the Holy Spirit/Ruach HaKodesh

(Galatians 5:22-23 Tree of Life Bible version)

22 But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law.
